Counting down the days to Fall…our hydrangeas are justttttt starting to turn so naturally I’m plotting this year’s wreath. 🌿

This was last year’s—the result of end-of-summer clippings from the yard & no real plan.

The key is cutting your hydrangeas as they start to dry naturally on the bush. Snip at an angle, remove the leaves, and place in a small amount of water to preserve the colors.

I sprayed the wreath with a clear UV protectant to help extend its life…

@tangerinisfarm gathering whatever catches my eye. Back home, I arrange the stems in various vessels…each one telling a different story.

It’s less about just arranging blooms, and more about creating moments. It’s about the relationship between color, texture, scale & the vessel that grounds them. And it’s a reminder that the smallest details, layered & imperfect, can transform a space.

Oh hi 👋🏻 Meet the newest member of our family: Charlotte “Coco” Alysse Starr Alfano 🤎🐾

She’s an 11-week-old Chocolate Lab × Australian Shepherd mix, and was a COMPLETE surprise for Max given how quickly everything came together.

After losing our nearly 16-year-old goodest boy Bruno back in October, we knew we’d need time before welcoming another dog. We weren’t looking, but some things are just meant to be and how could we pass her up?!

A friend met Coco the day after @newenglandlabrescue brought her & her siblings up from Georgia, and just five days later we had gone from inquiring to applying to getting approved to bringing her home!

She’s already proving to be the sweetest, cuddliest little pup, with a knack for digging, bone-hiding, and showing us the meaning of literal puppy eyes with those green beauties 👀💚

Anyone have an Aussiedor? Give us all the tips!

Core memory unlocked. Can’t believe we kept it from her.

And @merimeriparty party crackers of course! Max is a dancer in the Nutcracker every December and this is a joyful & festive way to celebrate her hard work, one filled with many a magical moments. ✨ #farmhousedialfano #mstarrdesignstudio #holidaytraditions #christmasmorning #partytable
