Heat wave: over. 🥵 Patio project: back on! ✨Now that temps have dropped, we can finally get our steppingstone patio finished! Cannot wait to have a level surface for seating out here but before the team comes out, we gotta kill those pesky weeds that have popped up—trying a 20% vinegar-based solution. 🤞🏻 it does the trick! #patioinprogress #outdoorliving #farmhousedialfano #mstarrdesign

Designing with a 9-year-old is an adventure—with plenty of opinions and personality (by us both) in the mix! I’m admittedly grateful that Max still lets me take the reins while showcasing her evolving style & she chose many new pieces herself using birthday gift cards. From keepsakes and cheerful art to notes and trinkets, this spot is becoming all her own. Swipe for some recent updates—we’re not done yet, but getting closer! Layers upon layers upon layers…⁣

Our dining nook has been a pain point for me over the years, never quite feeling right. But I feel like I’m finally on the right track after several recent updates including more texture, mismatched (but coordinated) patterns and warm, comforting colors. From a new mix of pillows to one of my custom lampshades in a French fabric), this space is starting to feel more like the inviting corner I always envisioned. Still a few things left on the punch list, but we’re getting there… one detail at a time. ✨⁣ #mstarrdesign #farmhousedialfano

Four years in our second #farmhousedialfano 🤍 When we first walked through the 1898 house, I saw past the dated interiors & um, interesting updates—and could see the charm, the imperfect character & the potential hidden beneath. Room by room, layer by layer, she’s come a long way! Always evolving but that’s the beauty of a lived-in home…it should grow & adapt with you.
