A Relaxed Nature-Inspired Thanksgiving Tablescape

mStarr design / A Relaxed Nature-Inspired Thanksgiving Tablescape

the majority of products seen here were loaned by my friends at Weston Table (did you catch my recent post about them?!)

Somehow we are exactly one week from Thanksgiving. Huh?! And sure I realize it’s just one week from today and this post might be coming too late for some BUT if you’re still looking for inspiration for your tablescape (or next Thanksgiving, or simply the next time you entertain), this post is for you.

I had such fun designing this table. In fact, I had so much fun that I have two more holiday-related tablescapes coming up in the next couple weeks! Maybe you’re new around here or perhaps you’ve forgotten but I used to design weddings and events! And my most favorite part of that job was designing tablescapes. I just love dreaming up something that is beautiful and functional, a place where loved ones can gather and enjoy each other’s company no matter the setting.

The Weston Table plates, the flatware, the wine colored napkins?! Just perfect for this nature-inspired design. It’s simple, relaxed, earthy, whimsical, and easy for anyone (yes you!) to put together. I’ve rounded up what I used below and while you can probably get some (most?) of the items in time for next week’s holiday, you can also take the inspiration and build off of it.

Don’t have dried ferns? How about using some of those beautiful leaves that are still falling from trees.

Take a trip to the grocery store and pick up some Bosc pears and maybe some other dried or fresh fruit for additional accents (figs, red grapes etc.).

Tie any napkin you may have with whatever ribbon you may have lying around!

I just love the Afloral (my go-to for anything dried or faux) dried ferns and dried gooseberry pods and the textural element they add to the tablescape.

Wishing you all a happy and safe holiday!
