A Roundup: Holiday and Winter Books for the Littles

Random Amazon finds I can't live without / mStarr design

I LOVE when I get to pull out Max’s holiday and winter-themed books. As does she, telling us we can only read holiday books at this time. Like most things around this time year, they lend a magical feel. We have many of the books I’ve rounded up below, and the rest are on my wish list. You’ll find a mix of books featuring Christmas, Hannukah (including Daddy Christmas, Hannukah Mama which exactly describes Max’s situation!), Kwanzaa, and winter stories.

01. All is Merry and Bright by Jeffrey Burton.

02. Little Red Ruthie by Gloria Koster.

03. Goodbye Autumn, Hello Winter by Kenard Pak.

04. Bear Stays Up for Christmas by Karma Wilson.

05. The Little Reindeer by Nicola Killen.

06. Pick a Pine Tree by Patricia Toht.

07. Olivia Helps with Christmas by Ian Falconer.

08. The Tree That’s Meant to Be by Yuval Zommer.

10. The Wish Tree by Kyo Maclear.

11. Sleep Tight Farm by Eugenie Doyle.

12. Dream Snow by Eric Carle.

13. The Crayons’ Christmas by Drew Daywalt.

14. Olive the Other Reindeer by Vivian Walsh.

15. The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg.

18. Madeline’s Christmas by Ludwig Bemelmans.

19. Eloise at Christmastime by Kay Thompson.
