Weekly Moodboard v.01: rebranding

A SPRING TABLESCAPE IN TIME FOR EASTER / MSTARR DESIGN

minted offices

i’ve spent a good portion of the past 5 weeks compiling an oversized, ever-growing list of ideas for mStarr and for this blog. one thing i’m trying to commit to are regular series on here. building on my what i’m pinning posts, i’m introducing weekly moodboard posts. moodboards can be a bit cliché sure, but they can be really powerful too and remain an important part of design. whether digitally curated in photoshop or pinterest or tangibly taped on a wall, they set the tone for what’s to come and how to get there.

this first moodboard is a special one. behind the scenes, i’ve been working on a rebrand and new website. i’ve always been one to do most of the design + web building work instead of hiring someone, relying on family + friends to give advice and feedback. sure i do check in with some pros about some things but it’s always felt right to have control over the process and to be able to make updates on a whim if needed {rather than contact someone + wait for them do it}. with that said, the process is MUCH LONGER. ha. but the end is in sight and i thought i’d share some of the inspiration i gathered.

there are plenty of elements that have been a part of mStarr design since the beginning: soft neutral colors, organic details, textural components, hand lettering. but with this next phase of mStarr comes a bit more polish. more of an elevated whimsy so to speak.

below is a taste of what’s to come.
